About us
How are we organised?
The Shire of Polderslot is represented in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg by the "Vereniging voor creatief anachronisme (VCA)". The VCA acts as a legal representative for the Shire. Membership of the VCA is different from and does not include membership of the SCA. Members of the VCA recieve a Newsletter, the periodical "de Poldersleutel" and pay a reduced fee at events organised by the VCA. The VCA strongly advices its members to obtain a SCA membership to be able to participate in tourneys and competitions, register a medieval name and a device, recieve publications, and support the Shire as part of the SCA.
Membership single person 2007: EUR 20,-
Family Membership 2007: EUR 10,-
Family membership is only available for people living in the same household as someone with a "full" membership. It confers the same advantages, except for the Newsletter (the "Poldersleutel").
Children of members who are below 16 years of age get the advantages of a family membership for free, but do not get to vote in meetings.
Note that the membership of the VCA is separate of the membership of the SCA. For certain positions within the Shire, a membership of the SCA is mandatory.
